What I'm working on Wednesday

I thought I'd start a weekly post to keep you uptodate with what I'm working on. As you may be aware - I have lots of commissions to finish within a short timescale -eek. So here' what I'm working on at the moment. I can't post finished pictures as that's part of the magazine contracts, but I guess it's OK to show you little snippets of progress. I'm working with King Cole Merino Blend DK and it's really nice for toys. I use smaller needles than recommended (3.5mm) to created a tighter knit that doesn't show the filling. I'm making this one up as I go and don't really have time to redo anything, so fingers crossed it works out great first time. I've designed a cat and a penguin so far, and they're both super cute. Let's hope this one is too. Can you guess what it's going to be?

I also visited my daughter's art exhibition today in Stoke - luckily no mindless vandalism going on in Hanley, which was nice. Kate curated the exhibition, wich is called 'Kiss Me Quick' and it was an exhibition that the gallery took to Margate in July. It was really interesting and brought back memories of childhood holidays. Lovely. Kate's in the photo, which was published in the Sentinel.
